Me and my friend have been having this problem too. Figured the 2K servers were down. I seriously almost took the game back. I seriously almost took the game back All good. I play in an online league, and this has happened to probably guys. All of em have said this is exactly how to fix it. I never had it happen to me but I'm almost positive that should correct it.

Did 2ksports release an unfinished, glitchy product that actually turns out to be harmful for the console? I swear I'm about to turn the game back in, I feel sincerely robbed.

Other than that, I have not experienced any type of freezing whatsoever. Maybe it's your PS3. I have the fat 60G PS3 also. Anytime I sign online it freezes though so I can't retrieve the rosters which kind of sucks but oh well I guess? User Info: Scottxn. As soon as you turn on the game it freezes at the first screen when you press start button.
It says checking hdd space and just stays there. I have access to 2 different ps3 consoles so i tried the disc in both but same problem, no scratches so i rented another disc and had the same problem with 2 discs on 2 different consoles I live in the Northwest dont know where other ppl with this problem live, maybe it is another 2K sports server issue.
User Info: jeffers OK i'm from Australia, hadn't played this game for about 5 days and i am getting the exact same freeze at the Title screen. Tried other games and all are fine but 2K11 is just frozen User Info: scm I've posted this problem before. I'm not connecting to PSN and still the game freezes about 15 minutes in.
I get past the loading screens and can even play for awhile but then it freezes and I have to reboot the PS3. Someone mentioned a patch but I can't find it. Been playing video games for over 35 years. That's right -- that's before most of you were even born. Doesn't make me special -- just old. My solution was: 1. Turn your Playstation 3 on. If you have your network settings as automatically signing you on try to stop the connection.
If you do sign in then go to your network settings click Internet Connection to disabled. Then switch it to enabled but scroll over to the PSN click on it and hit O to exit signing in. Start the game. The game will be working but you WON'T be able to play it signing in online. So unfortunately the game cannot be played online any more I guess?
